What to do
Having an accident in your car is never a pleasant experience. However, at Shires Gloucester we aim to make the process as quick and painless as possible. Follow the steps outlined here and we can help you get back into your own car as soon as possible

Step 1: Contact Shires Gloucester
Contact Shires Gloucester and speak to one of our front of house members of staff, who will be happy to make arrangements to book your vehicle in for repair, arrange collection / recovery or any general enquiries.

Step 2: Get Estimate
Our team will assess your vehicle and provide you with an estimate. All of our estimates are comprehensive, so you know exactly what you're getting for your money.

Step 3: Choose Type of Claim
It is at this stage we need to know if your claim will be:
- Insurance Claim: When the damage to the vehicle is your fault, you need to notify your insurance company who will authorise for the repairs to be carried out.
- Third Party Claim: When the damage to your car is not your fault we require the insurance details of the person liable. Shires will then act on your behalf to claim for the damages. Once authorisation from their insurance company has been received the repairs will be made.
- Private Claim: If for whatever reason you decide not to use your insurance company our team will discuss options that best suit your budget and requirements.

Step 4: Car Repaired
Once your claim is authorised we will phone to arrange an appointment for your car to be repaired together with an estimated completion date. Collection of your vehicle will be arranged (if required).
Your car will be returned washed, vacuumed, glass cleaned, tyres dressed. The work carried out is covered for a minimum of 3 years.
